Chapter 19 - The Legacy of Love

Six months passed.

Spring returned to Westchester in a grand, triumphant explosion of life. Green leaves covered the rolling hills, wild tulips bloomed along the estate paths, and the waters of the lake sparkled like melted diamonds beneath the bright April sun.

Today was a day of celebration: the baptism and official family presentation of Leo and Alexander Moretti.

Guests from legitimate business circles, long-time family friends, and allies gathered on the sweeping green lawn of the estate. A long, elegant white tent had been erected near the conservatory, decorated with white orchids, silver ribbons, and crystal chandeliers.

Michael stood near the head table, looking handsome in a tailored grey suit, holding court with several foreign trade representatives, speaking with the authority and grace of a seasoned executive.

Beside him, Dr. Aris and Nona were chatting happily with estate guests, while Vincent kept a watchful, protective eye over the entrance, a soft smile playing on his lips.

At the center of the terrace stood Dante and Elena.

Elena looked breathtaking in a custom white lace dress that hugged her restored, beautiful figure. Her hair was styled in elegant dark waves, held by the same gold hairclip she had worn the night they announced the pregnancy.

In her arms she held baby Alexander, who was dressed in a traditional white silk baptism gown, his bright dark eyes wide with wonder as he looked at the flowers.

Dante stood beside her, looking towering and powerful in a immaculate black tux, holding baby Leo in his arms. The tiny baby boy cooed happily, reaching out his chubby little hand to grab the lapel of Dante’s jacket.

Dante didn't pull away; he simply smiled, letting his son’s tiny fingers wrap around his thumb.

Marcus walked up to Dante, holding two small crystal glasses filled with vintage champagne. "Everything is clear, boss. Zero security anomalies across all sectors. The property is completely secure."

"Thank you, Marcus," Dante said, accepting a glass. "For everything."

Marcus bowed his head respectfully. "It’s an honor, sir."

Dante turned to face the gathered crowd. He raised his glass high, drawing the immediate, respectful silence of every guest present.

"Thank you all for coming today," Dante’s deep voice resonated across the summer breeze, clear and powerful. "Many years ago, I believed that an empire was built of stone, steel, capital, and force. I believed that power was the only shield against the dark."

He turned his eyes to look at Elena, his gaze filled with a fierce, endless devotion.

"I was wrong," Dante continued softly. "An empire is not built of stone. It is built of love. It is built of sacrifice, loyalty, and the courage to fight for the people who bring light into your life when everything else is dark. Today, we celebrate my sons, Leo and Alexander. May they grow up in a world of peace, wrapped in the warmth of the home their mother built for us all."

The crowd erupted into warm, enthusiastic applause! Guests toasted their glasses high into the spring air, cheering for the health and future of the Moretti family!

Nona wiped a tear from her eye, leaning over to kiss Michael’s cheek, while Dr. Aris clinked his glass with Vincent’s.
