Chapter 12: The Final Transfer

That night, Nathan got an alert from his security team: someone had accessed the foundation’s main server from inside the estate. Not from the office—from the old guest wing, where Victoria had kept her private study.
He ran there immediately. The door was locked. He broke it open.
Inside, a laptop was open on the desk. A transfer window was active—$18 million, going to an offshore account in the Caymans. And the account name matched the one linked to Victoria’s brother.
Next to the keyboard lay a keycard—the master keycard Nathan had reported lost three months earlier.
"She had someone on the inside," Marcus said. "Someone who still works here."
Just then, the phone on the desk rang. Nathan answered. No voice—just a recording of Victoria’s voice: You can keep the kids. But you’ll never keep what’s mine.
