Chapter 10 - The True Engagement

The guest list was small—only true friends, loyal colleagues, Mara's fully restored father, and the people who had stood by us during our darkest hours.

When the music shifted to a breathtaking orchestral melody, the four little boys walked down the white aisle hand-in-hand, carrying small velvet pillows holding our wedding bands. The crowd cheered and clapped warmly as the quads reached the altar, standing proudly beside me as my best men.

Then the crowd stood.

Mara appeared at the top of the aisle, walking arm-in-arm with her father.

She was radiant in a simple, elegant ivory gown that caught the golden afternoon sunlight. Her green eyes locked onto mine, shining with absolute peace, forgiveness, and eternal love.

When her father placed her hand in mine at the altar, he looked at me with deep emotion. "Take care of her, Julian."

"With my life, sir," I vowed firmly.

The ceremony was intimate, simple, and filled with tears of pure joy. We spoke our own vows—promising to protect each other, to raise our sons with love, honesty, and kindness, and to never let shadow or doubt enter our home again.

"By the power vested in me," the officiant smiled warmly, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride!"

I pulled Mara close, dipping her gently as I pressed my lips to hers in a deep, passionate kiss. The crowd erupted into thunderous applause, cheering loudly as ocean waves crashed softly against the shore behind us.

Milo, Mason, Max, and Micah rushed forward, wrapping their arms around our legs, laughing and shouting with pure happiness.

I lifted Micah and Max onto my shoulders, while Mara held Milo and Mason's hands as we walked back up the aisle together as one complete, unbroken family.

There were no corporate contracts, no dark secrets, and no blankets of fear hiding our truth anymore.

There was only the bright, endless horizon of our future—a life built on love, truth, and the four beautiful boys who had restored my heart.
