Chapter 7 - A New Dawn

Six months later, the Moore mansion was completely transformed. The dark, heavy drapes were torn down, replaced with floor-to-ceiling windows that flooded the grand halls with natural light. The library, once a place of dark conspiracies, was converted into a massive, bright playroom filled with toys, books, and the sound of children's laughter.
The twins, Leo and Diana, were thriving. They had their mother’s bright eyes and none of their father’s weakness.
Rebecca stood on the sprawling back terrace, watching the sunset over the manicured gardens. For the first time in a year, she felt completely safe. The empire her father built was stable, the corporate vipers had been purged from the board, and her family’s name was fully restored.
Dr. Jonathan walked out onto the terrace, carrying two cups of tea. Over the months of her recovery, he had become a steadfast pillar of support for her, transitioning from her doctor to a deeply trusted confidant.
"You look peaceful," Jonathan said, handing her a cup.
"I am," Rebecca smiled, taking a sip. "I used to look at this estate and feel so lonely. Now, I look at it and see a fortress for my children."
"You built that fortress, Rebecca. You saved your own life, and theirs," Jonathan said softly. "The world knows you as a ruthless business mogul, but I know you as the strongest mother I’ve ever met."

"I had good help," Rebecca looked at him, her eyes softening. "Thank you, Jonathan. For believing me when everyone else thought I was just a paranoid pregnant woman."
"I’d do it all over again," he replied, his hand briefly brushing against hers. A spark of something new and beautiful flickered between them—a promise of a future built on trust, not strategy.
