Chapter 10 - The Legacy of Love

Three years later, the gardens of the Moore mansion were decorated with thousands of white roses and fairy lights. A gentle string quartet played a soft, soaring melody that floated on the warm summer breeze.

Leo, now five years old and wearing a tiny tuxedo, proudly held a velvet pillow containing two gold bands. Beside him, Diana, in a beautiful lace dress, giggled as she scattered flower petals along the aisle.

At the altar stood Jonathan, looking sharp, handsome, and deeply emotional.

The music swelled, and the guests stood up. Rebecca appeared at the top of the aisle. She wore a stunning, minimalist ivory gown that caught the sunlight perfectly. She looked radiant, powerful, and radiantly happy. Her walk down the aisle wasn't just a walk toward a wedding; it was a victory lap for a woman who had survived the darkest betrayal and built a paradise from the ashes.

Jonathan took her hand as she reached the altar. "You take my breath away," he whispered.

"Thank you for helping me breathe again," she replied softly.

Arthur Vance, officiating the ceremony with a proud, tearful smile, looked at the couple. "Do you, Jonathan, take Rebecca to be your wife, your partner in life, and the co-guardian of your beautiful family?"

"I do, with all my heart," Jonathan said, looking directly into Rebecca’s eyes.

"And do you, Rebecca, take Jonathan to be your husband, your protector, and your equal in all things?"

"I do," Rebecca said, her voice clear and resonant.

"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

As Jonathan pulled her into a warm, deeply loving kiss, the crowd erupted into thunderous applause. Leo and Diana ran up, throwing their arms around their parents' legs. Jonathan scooped them both up into a massive family hug, laughing.

Rebecca looked out over her estate, then down at her husband and her children. The trap that had been set for her so many years ago had failed completely. The Holden name was a forgotten footnote in history, but the Moore legacy was alive, thriving, and overflowing with love.

They had won. Completely, absolutely, and happily ever after.
