Chapter 10 - The HarvestAutumn came to Connecticut in a breathtaking explosion of amber, gold, and crimson leaves.

The Greenwich estate had transformed entirely. The echoing, lonely hallways of the past were now filled with the sound of running feet, spontaneous laughter, and music drifting up from the kitchen.
On a crisp October Saturday morning, Alejandro, Marisol, and the four boys stood together in the backyard garden.
The tomato plants they had planted months ago had flourished under the autumn sun, heavy with bright, ripe red fruit.
“Alright, master gardeners,” Alejandro announced, holding up a small wicker basket. “Who’s ready to harvest our very first crop?”
All four boys cheered, diving enthusiastically into the dirt-rich planter boxes with their tiny garden shears. Marisol knelt beside them, laughing as Leonardo tried to balance a giant tomato on his head like a hat.
Alejandro stood back for a moment, leaning against the wooden fence with his hands in his pockets, watching them.
The expensive suits, the frantic Chicago flights, the endless corporate mergers, and the suffocating pressure of his mother’s high-society expectations felt like a lifetime away. He had lost a cold, artificial empire built on neglect and status, but in return, he had found something infinitely more valuable: a real family, a genuine home, and a second chance at being the father his sons deserved.

Marisol looked up from the garden bed, catching his eye across the bright red and green foliage. She didn't say a word, but her warm, radiant smile spoke volumes.
Alejandro smiled back, walked over to join them in the dirt, and picked up a small red tomato from the vine—ready to taste the sweet fruit of a life finally built on love.
