Chapter 10 - The Symphony of the Stars

A month later, the grand ballroom of the Whitmore estate was filled with light and music. The towering crystal chandeliers threw golden reflections across the polished marble floor as hundreds of guests—business partners, old friends, and Mrs. Higgins, who looked radiant in a new silk gown—watched the celebration.

A massive three-tiered wedding cake stood in the center of the main table, decorated with fresh white roses and tiny silver stars.

Andrew stood in the center of the dance floor, holding his beautiful new wife close against his chest. Mary looked breathtaking in a simple, elegant lace gown, her hand resting over his heart, which was beating steadily, strongly, and perfectly in sync with hers.

Lauren ran onto the dance floor, her faded pink dress replaced by a gorgeous white flower-girl gown, her small fabric bag still clutched tightly in her hands. She grabbed Andrew’s trousers, looking up with a radiant smile.

“Daddy! Mommy! Sing the song!” she cheered.

The orchestra slowed, the heavy brass instruments fading away until only a single, beautiful violin remained, playing a familiar, nostalgic melody.

Andrew lifted his daughter into his arms, holding his wife tightly against his side. Together, beneath the glittering lights of their new home, their voices rose in perfect, beautiful harmony, singing the old star song—not as a promise made in the dark, or a memory of a time they were lost, but as a triumphant symphony of a family that had survived the storm, conquered the distance, and finally found their way home into the everlasting, beautiful light.
