Chapter 4: The Boardroom Execution

The grand boardroom on the 50th floor of the Whitaker Tower was filled with twenty of the most powerful corporate minds in Illinois. Helen Whitaker sat at the head of the long mahogany table, flanked by Amelia's father, Senator Brooks, and a team of high-priced corporate attorneys.
"Ryan has displayed a complete lack of fiduciary responsibility," Helen addressed the board, her voice dripping with artificial sorrow. "He has jeopardized our multi-billion-dollar merger with Brooks Holdings over an unverified domestic matter. For the safety of our shareholders, I move to vote for his immediate removal."
The double doors to the boardroom swung open.
Ryan walked in. He wasn't wearing his standard corporate suit; he wore a sharp, casual jacket, and he was holding the small hands of Liam and Maya, while Grace followed behind, carrying little Chloe on her hip.
The board members gasped, several of them instantly leaning forward. The resemblance between Ryan and the little boy walking beside him was so striking it made Helen’s lead counsel visibly wince.
"The motion is out of order, Mother," Ryan said smoothly, taking a seat at the opposite end of the table, pulling up two smaller chairs for his daughters.
"Ryan, remove these children immediately! This is a professional closed-door meeting!" Helen hissed.
"Actually, it's a shareholder meeting," Ryan countered. He nodded to David Vance, who stepped forward and distributed copies of a certified legal document to every board member.
"As of nine o'clock this morning," David announced, "the legal DNA results have been verified by the Supreme Court of Illinois. Liam, Maya, and Chloe Whitaker are officially recognized as the biological heirs of Ryan Whitaker. Furthermore, per the explicit terms of the original 1952 Whitaker Family Trust established by Ryan's grandfather, the birth of legitimate male heirs automatically triggers a release of the controlling forty percent of voting shares directly to the father."
Helen’s face turned an asymmetric shade of purple. "What? That clause was archived!"
"It was never archived, Helen," Ryan said, leaning back, his eyes flashing with absolute victory. "Grandfather wanted to ensure the family name stayed protected from corporate raiders. With my children recognized, I now control fifty-two percent of the voting power in this room."

Ryan stood up, looking around the table at the terrified board members.
"My first act as majority shareholder is to permanently remove Helen Whitaker from the board of directors, effective immediately. Security is waiting outside to escort her from the building."
