Chapter 12 - The Grand WeddingThe sun rose over Kensington two days later on a sky of pure, cloudless blue. The gardens of the Reed estate were filled with three hundred guests, all dressed in elegant pastel attire.

At the front of the floral aisle stood Daniel, looking impossibly regal in a white tuxedo jacket, his eyes glued to the archway at the end of the aisle. Standing beside him as his best man was his head of security, Marcus, who was trying unsuccessfully to hide his emotional sniffling behind a white handkerchief.
The harpist began to play a soft, breathtaking rendition of A Thousand Years.
First down the aisle walked Oliver and Sophie. Oliver wore a matching mini-white tuxedo, proudly carrying the ring pillow, while Sophie wore a puffy pink dress, throwing white rose petals with a radiant, joyous smile.
Then, the crowd rose to their feet.
Arya appeared at the head of the aisle. She took everyone’s breath away. Her dress was an off-the-shoulder gown of delicate lace and flowing silk, with a long train that brushed over the carpet of flower petals. She held a bouquet of white lilies—Leo’s favorite flower.
As she walked down the aisle, her brown eyes locked onto Daniel’s. Daniel squeezed his eyes shut for a second, trying to hold back the sudden wave of overwhelming emotion, a single tear of joy escaping down his cheek.
When Arya reached the altar, Daniel stepped forward, taking her hands gently in his.
The officiant, a warm elderly man who was fluent in BSL, stood before them. "We are gathered here today to unite two souls who proved that true love needs no sound to be heard."
When it came time for the vows, Daniel and Arya turned to face each other.
Daniel took a deep breath, raised his hands, and signed his vows aloud and in BSL simultaneously so his children in the front row could experience every single word:
"Arya," Daniel spoke, his voice ringing clear and strong. "One year ago, my home was a cold prison of silence and fear. I was a man lost in my own grief, failing the two precious angels God gave me. Then you walked into my life. You didn't just teach us sign language; you taught us how to love again. You showed me that being a father means being present, vulnerable, and fierce. I promise to honor you, protect you, love you, and sign with you through every storm and every sunshine for the rest of my days."
The crowd wiped away silent tears.
Then, Arya raised her hands, signing her vows back to him:
"Daniel," Arya said softly, her eyes shining like stars. "You are the bravest, most noble man I have ever known. You tore down your entire corporate world just to understand your children’s hearts. You showed me that love isn't about finding a perfect life, but about building a safe home together. I give you my heart, my hands, and my life forever."
"By the power vested in me," the officiant declared with a bright smile, "I now pronounce you husband and wife! Daniel, you may kiss your bride!"

Daniel didn't wait a single second. He pulled Arya into his arms, dipping her slightly as he pressed a deep, passionate kiss against her lips.
The crowd erupted into wild cheers and visual signing applause. Oliver and Sophie jumped up and down in the front row, throwing handfuls of rose petals into the air around their parents.
