Chapter 2 – The Secret Hidden in the Engine
"Stop him!"
The shout came from one of the mechanics.
The employee near the exit froze.
Security guards rushed forward.
Within seconds, the man was surrounded.
Sweat poured down his face.
Richard stared.
"Bring him here."
The employee was dragged into the center of the showroom.
His hands were shaking.
The boy simply watched.
Calm.
Silent.
Observing everything.
Richard pointed toward the illegal wire.
"Did you do that?"
"No!"
But his voice cracked.
The answer sounded weak even to him.
One security guard checked surveillance records.
Another searched company maintenance logs.
Within twenty minutes, the truth emerged.
The employee had been secretly working for a competing dealership.
For months.
He had been damaging high-value vehicles and creating expensive repair problems.
Millions of dollars had already been lost.
Richard could barely believe it.
His own company.
His own employee.
And none of his managers had discovered the scheme.
Yet this homeless teenager had uncovered it in minutes.
Richard turned toward the boy.
For the first time, his arrogance was gone.
"Who are you?"
The boy hesitated.
The showroom became silent again.
Then he answered quietly.
"My name is Noah."
"And where did you learn all this?"
Noah looked down.
"My father taught me."
"What does he do?"
A painful expression crossed Noah's face.
"He used to own a repair shop."
Used to.
Richard immediately understood.
Something had happened.
Something bad.
But before he could ask another question, one of the senior mechanics interrupted.
"Sir..."
Richard turned.
"What?"
The mechanic swallowed hard.
"You need to see this."
He handed Richard a faded photograph that had fallen from Noah's backpack.
Richard's eyes widened.
Then widened even further.
Because the man standing beside young Noah in the picture...
was someone Richard recognized immediately.
Someone he had not seen in nearly twenty years.
Someone he believed was dead.
And the realization hit him like a freight train.
The homeless boy standing in front of him...
was the son of the man who had built Richard's fortune. 😱
