CHAPTER 20: THE RICHEST MAN IN THE WORLD

The morning sun rose over Tuscany, bathing the Rossi estate in a brilliant, warm light. The remnants of the magnificent party had been cleared away, leaving only the quiet, beautiful serenity of the Italian countryside.
Julian woke up to the sound of soft giggling. He opened his eyes, blinking against the sunlight streaming through the sheer curtains of the master bedroom.
Sitting in the middle of the massive king-sized bed was Isabella. She had somehow climbed out of her nursery crib and toddled into their room, and was now enthusiastically attempting to put Julian’s expensive, platinum wristwatch onto her own tiny, chubby arm.
Next to him, Elena was already awake, propped up on her elbow, watching their daughter with a look of pure, unadulterated adoration. Her dark hair was wildly tousled, her skin glowing in the morning light.
"She has expensive taste," Elena whispered, smiling at Julian as he woke. "Just like her father."
Julian laughed, a deep, rumbling sound that filled the room. He reached out, gently plucking the watch from Isabella’s hands and tossing it onto the nightstand, where it landed with an irrelevant clatter. He scooped the squealing toddler up into his arms, rolling onto his back and holding her high above his chest like an airplane, making her shriek with delight.
"She doesn't need platinum," Julian said, his eyes crinkling with absolute joy. "She’s already royalty."
He pulled Isabella down, pressing a loud, exaggerated kiss to her cheek, then reached out his other arm to pull Elena into the tangle of blankets and laughter. The three of them lay there, bathed in the golden morning light, a perfect, unbreakable unit.
The empire in New York continued to thrive. The Grand Alcazar Hotel had been rebranded and reformed into a beacon of luxury and integrity. Victor and Camila were fading into the miserable obscurity of their prison cells, and Alexei Volkov was a ghost of a shattered criminal dynasty.
But as Julian Rossi looked at the two beautiful women in his arms—the fierce, incredible wife who had fought through hell to stand by his side, and the perfect, innocent daughter who represented their future—he knew that none of the wealth, the power, or the global influence mattered in the grand scheme of his life.

He had almost lost his soul to the shadows of betrayal, but love had pulled him back into the light.
Julian closed his eyes, inhaling the sweet scent of lavender and baby powder, feeling the warm, steady heartbeat of his wife against his side. The war was over. The kingdom was safe. And Julian Rossi knew, with absolute, unshakable certainty, that he was the richest man in the world.
