Jax read the letter in silence.

The entire diner seemed to disappear around him.

Sarah explained everything.

Twenty years earlier, she had vanished without warning.

Jax believed she had abandoned him.

When Sarah became pregnant, her father gave her an impossible choice.

Her father used money and influence to make sure Jax could never find them.

For years she tried.

She wrote letters.

Made phone calls.

Sent messages through friends.

Every attempt was blocked.

Then came the sentence that shattered Jax.

"The little boy carrying this letter is your son."

Jax looked up.

The child stared back.

His own eyes.

His own smile.

His own stubborn determination.

Twenty years of anger suddenly collapsed.

The boy wasn't a stranger.

He was family.

His son.

Tears filled Jax's eyes for the first time in decades.

"What... what's your name?"

The boy smiled nervously.

"Tyler."

Jax couldn't speak.

But the letter wasn't finished.

Sarah revealed one final secret.

Three months earlier she had been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Doctors had given her little time.

She had spent her final months searching for Jax.

Desperately trying to reunite father and son.

Then Jax reached the final page.

And his hands began shaking again.

Because Sarah had written one last request.

"Please save our son."

Jax frowned.

Save him from what?

Then Tyler quietly slid another envelope across the counter.

"I wasn't supposed to open it."

Jax opened the envelope.

Inside was a court document.

And the name of the man trying to take custody of Tyler.

Sarah's father.

The same man who had destroyed their lives twenty years earlier.
