Chapter 6 - A FOREVER BUILT SILENTLY

Two years later.

The Vance estate was bathed in the warm, golden glow of a late summer sunset. The manicured lawns stretched down toward the cliffside, where a small white gazebo sat overlooking the roaring sea.

A gentle laughter floated through the evening air.

Sadi sat on a woven wicker bench inside the gazebo, wearing a loose, floral summer dress. Her lap was covered with a soft blanket, and resting in her arms was a three-month-old baby girl with a tuft of thick dark hair and striking, pale grey eyes—a perfect blend of her parents.

Roman walked down the stone path toward them, having just finished a virtual conference with his international directors. He had discarded his suit jacket, his dark shirt sleeves rolled up to his elbows, looking more relaxed and content than he had ever been in his life.

He stepped into the gazebo, kneeling down beside the bench, his eyes softening instantly as he looked at his daughter.

"Is little Elena finally asleep?" Roman whispered, reaching out a large, gentle finger to caress the baby’s tiny cheek.

"Just barely," Sadi whispered back, a beautiful, peaceful smile illuminating her face. "She has your eyes, Roman. She looks at the world like she already owns it."

"She owns my entire heart," Roman murmured softly. "Just like her mother."

He leaned up and pressed a slow, lingering kiss against Sadi’s lips—a kiss filled with years of quiet devotion, unyielding loyalty, and a love that had stood against the darkest storms.

Sadi closed her eyes, feeling the warmth of his breath against her skin, the gentle weight of their child in her arms, and the absolute peace of the life they had built together.

She remembered the cold marble floor of the mall. She remembered the sting of Trevor’s shoe, the arrogance of his voice, and the hollow ache of being treated like nothing.

How far she had come. The pain of her past had not destroyed her; it had simply cleared the path for the magnificent life she was meant to live. Trevor had thought he was kicking a beggar, completely unaware that his cruelty would trigger his own total downfall while elevating Sadi to her rightful place as the queen of an empire.

"What are you thinking about, darling?" Roman asked softly, resting his hand over hers.

Sadi looked out at the vast ocean, where the sun was dipping below the horizon, painting the sky in breathtaking shades of gold, crimson, and violet.

"I was thinking about noise," Sadi said softly, turning her gaze back to her husband—the powerful, dangerous, fierce man who loved her with a quiet, holy reverence. "Cruelty is loud, Roman. Anger is loud. But love... real love is silent. It builds in the dark, and it lasts forever."

Roman smiled—a soft, rare, breathtaking smile reserved only for her.

"Then let us enjoy the quiet, my love," Roman whispered.

He pulled them both close, wrapping his strong arms around his wife and daughter as the stars began to appear in the darkening sky. The world outside raged on, filled with noise and foolish ambition, but inside the fortress of their love, there was only absolute peace, endless wealth of the heart, and a forever built silently in the light.
