Lainey Wilson Is Bringing Country Flair to NFL Christmas Halftime Show

Lainey Wilson will be livening up the NFL Christmas halftime show with her signature charm and powerhouse country vocals.

5 Wild Things You Might Not Know About Lainey Wilson That Prove She's Tougher Than Your Favorite Artist

If you want to ensure a terrific event, get country singing superstar Lainey Wilson to be a part of it. The “Somewhere Over Laredo” singer solo hosted the CMA Awards last month, and she really wowed everyone. Wilson, 33, was absolutely charming and relaxed. She changed pizzazz-y costumes multiple times and looked like she loved every minute of the celebrated occasion. If anybody can host an event like that, she sure proved she can. Wilson is also a wonderful guest star, as the NFL now knows! They will be taking full advantage of that on Christmas.

Wilson Will Be Part of the Gala NFL Halftime Show During the Vikings-Lions Game

She definitely won’t be resting on her laurels on Christmas. Lainey Wilson will be joining other stars for the Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions NFL halftime show. She’ll surely grace the event with her signature country vocals, fashion-forward outfits, and powerhouse presence.

Netflix plans to air the Xmas gridiron contest and the tuneful festivities, which are titled Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party. So if you love Snoop Dogg, Huntr/X, KPop Demon Hunters (Rei Ami, Audrey Nuna, and EJAE), Lainey Wilson, and all the excitement associated with Christmas, don’t miss this party!

Per Rolling Stone, in a statement about the musical halftime hoopla, Snoop Dogg said this. “NFL, Netflix and your Uncle Snoop on Christmas Day? We’re servin’ up music, love and good vibes for the whole world to enjoy. That’s the kind of holiday magic Santa can’t fit in a bag.” Some unexpected guests might pop in, too.

The game starts today at 4:30 ET from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Wilson already has experience doing a performance for an NFL halftime show. She sang during the break between quarters at the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Day game in 2024. Wilson added her outstanding country artistry to the on-field fun on Turkey Day.

And by the way, Wilson nabbed the coveted CMA Entertainer of the Year honor. (Other stellar nominees were Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, and Cody Johnson.) Wilson also landed Female Vocalist of the Year, plus Album of the Year for Whirlwind. It was a huge night for the beloved country star from Baskin, Louisiana. It seems like her enormous popularity is growing by the day.

Two-Year-Old Goes Viral For Adorable Reaction To Seeing Ella Langley For The First Time

Ella Langley

Can you blame the little guy?

If there is one thing about me, it’s that I’m always going to love a viral video of little kids reacting to country music. Over the years, there have been many viral moments of little kids signing along to a Lainey Wilson tune while sporting her signature bell-bottom look, belting the words to Zach Top’s “I Never Lie,” or swooning over the mustached cowboy in Riley Green’s “Worst Way” music video.

Now, Ella Langley is taking over the internet with viral videos from young fans. The release of “Choosin’ Texas” has led to quite a few funny or tender moments shared by fans. Recently, a Mississippi woman and her daughter went viral for singing the number one hit to one another before bedtime.

“Most people sing nursery rhymes, we sing @Ella Langley feat. A Vaseline-covered face because it’s winter.”

Miss Ella Langley even saw this tender moment and left a short but sweet note on the video:

“So good”

Now, a little boy is going viral for his reaction to Ella Langley, which is much more comical than the tender moment shared between the Mississippi mom and daughter.

The young fan is sitting in front of the TV, watching the “Choosin’ Texas” lyric video, in which Langley sits at a bar, singing the heartbreaking lyrics. But heartbreak was far from what this little boy felt as he watched the Alabama native sing. After catching a good look at the brunette beauty, the little boy whips his head around toward his mother, who asks him:

“She pretty?”

The little boy looks bug-eyed and gives a very slight head nod, indicating his answer is a yes.

The video is so wholesome, and I’m sure it will go down as a moment when this little boy realized he had his first crush. Solid choice, little man.

Naturally, the comments section did not disappoint. Check them out:

“Awesome. Bring them up liking pretty women and country music.”

“I’m a girl, and I look at her the same way.”

“He’s like the rest of us men.”

“I know that’s right, little man.”

“It was at this moment he knew he was gonna chase all them country girls.”

“This is what it felt like when we saw Miranda Lambert or Carrie Underwood for the first time.”

“She’s really bringing it back for us brunettes.”

“Same little bro, same.”

“Me in the 90s watching Shania Twain.”

“I’m 30, and I’d react the same way to that question.”

May you like

“he’s asking if he can adjust his Christmas list…”

“That’s how I am, too, bub.”
